The Beauty of Bees Wax Candles

The Beauty of Bees Wax Candles

If you enjoy burning candles, but you find that you develop headaches or have allergy attacks when you do so, you may want to give pure bees wax candles a try. Bees wax candles are completely natural and the natural honey scent of beeswax smells so wonderful. Because of this naturally occurring scent, there is no need to add all of the essential oils or chemical scents that are used in other types of candles.

Bees wax candles have other benefits, as well. These candles are virtually soot free and burn much more cleanly than paraffin candles. In addition, the beeswax candle is free of dangerous toxins, which means that you should not experience any headaches while you are burning your candle.

They also burn at a lower temperature which affects a couple of things. First, the flame will not be as hot as that of a paraffin wax candle and ultimately the burning time will be longer. So, if you have a beeswax candle and a paraffin wax candle of the same size and dimensions, the bees wax candle will last longer.

You should keep this in mind when shopping for bees wax candles because they will cost more than paraffin wax candles, but they will also give more hours of enjoyment.

When you shop for bees wax candles, you should look for candles made with unbleached, natural wax. If you choose candles made with bleached or dyed wax, you may find that your candles are not quite as free of allergens as the unbleached ones. The natural color is a deep, almost mustard yellow; what cream honey would look like if it retained the deep, rich color of regular liquid honey.

If the look of a simple pillar is just too plain for you, you can find bees wax candles molded into intricate shapes, instead. Of course, these candles are so fun to look at that you may have trouble burning them. A quick tip: always buy two of the same candle, especially if it is a decorative novelty candle or holiday candle, this way you can keep one for display and one to burn.
