When shopping for candles you will often see that some store claim to sell dripless candles, while others do not. Nobody really wants a candle that drips, wax is difficult to clean up especially if it gets in carpet or on a nice tablecloth. If a candle is dripless it means that it will not drip wax if it is burned properly. If it's not burned properly it will drip as much as any other candle.
It is very easy to burn dripless candles properly, so if you are concerned about your candles dripping and making a mess it is a good idea to looking for candles that are dripless. To burn a dripless candle properly there are only a couple of things you need do. First, make sure that the candle is sitting straight in its holder, if the candle is tip it will drip. Second, be sure to burn the candle in a place where there is no draft. This means don't burn it near a window or heating vent or air conditioner.
You might wonder what makes a candle dripless. Well, it is somewhat simple. Making dripless candles requires using the right size wick for the amount of wax that you have. Using too thick of a wick usually causes fewer problems because in this case the end result is needing to trim the wick so that it doesn't get too long. Using too thin of a wick will cause the candle to drip or if it is a pillar candle the wick might drown in the extra wax.
