Decorate For The Holidays With The Electric Candle

There is such a cozy, comforting feel to seeing a candle flickering in a window. However, leaving a candle to burn unattended can be quite dangerous, so the electric candle was created. The electric candle provides a safe and easy way to give your home's windows a charming and festive holiday appearance.

There are several types of electric candles. You can find an electric candle that plugs into the wall or a battery operated model. Some of the plug-in candles have a switch so that you can easily turn them on and off without unplugging them from the outlet, while others must be unplugged before they turn off. Some candles have clear bulbs, while others have colored bulbs. You can also find flickering candles, which have a more realistic appearance.

If you take care of your electric candles, you should be able to use them for many years. After all, an electric candle is basically a small, shade-less lamp. Replacement bulbs are readily available, although if you are using a cheaper candle model they may actually cost almost as much as a new candle would. Before storing battery operated candles, you should remove the batteries so that they do not corrode the wiring in the candles.
