By Alia KubeElectric Candle Warmers give you the effect of a burning candle without any of the soot or smokeThe biggest complaint most people have about burning candles is that they either give off too much smoke or the soot ruins their furniture and walls. With electric candle warmers this will never be a problem again. Electric candle warmers are usually ceramic and they act as a sort of base or holder for jar candles. All you do is plug them in and they heat the candle wax causing it to melt and also releasing the fragrance of the candle without the soot or smoke. You will always need to use a glass jar candle with an electric candle warmer. This is safer than using a metal container candle and will prevent any wax from getting on the warmer, which could be a fire hazard. Another option is using wickless candles. Wickless candles are glass jar candles that have no wick. They are scented and come in a number of different colors and are made specifically to be used with electric candle warmers. There are a number of places to find electric candle warmers and they are usually inexpensive, between $6 and $8. I recommend Gelluminations for basic candle warmers. One other option is a tart warmer or wax melter. These can sometimes be used as diffusers for essential oils as well. Be sure to clean them well when switching between using oils and wax tarts.
