By Alia KubeThe Benefits of Unscented CandlesIn today's market there are a number of varieties of candles. Besides shape and size, they differ in color and, as some would say, most importantly scent. Lately the trend has been moving towards using scents that are natural and beneficial. Natural extracts, such as lavender and vanilla bean, as well as aromatherapy essential oils are being used to add scent to candles. There effects can be soothing and relaxing, but they can also energize you and clear your mind. Aside from the many varieties of scented candles, there are also unscented candles. Unscented candles can be found in any shape, size or color. Aside from beeswax, which has a natural honey scent, unscented candles are made from soy wax, traditional paraffin wax and gel wax. Compared to scented candles, unscented candles offer all of the same benefits in terms of creating atmosphere and mood, adding a decorative touch to a room, and simply being enjoyable to watch. One reason to choose an unscented candle over a scented one is that scented candles can sometimes bother people with allergies or sensitivities to artificial scents. Another reason for choosing unscented candles, is that the are often a lot cheaper. If you are buying a large quantity of candles for a wedding or social event, simple unscented candles, either tapers or pillars, are easier to find and more affordable.
