Picking a candle is only half the fun. You can add much more variety and style to your decor when you start looking at different candle holders. Votive candles and thus, votive holders are a very common choice and you will find a wide variety of them both at a range of prices, from a couple dollars for a very simple one to $20 or $30 for votive holders that hold multiple candles.
You'll find votive holders made of glass, wrought iron, crystal, clay pottery, brass and even wood. Of course, wood holders will have a metal base to hold the candle to avoid any fire hazards. Where you want to put your votive will be the main factor in determining what type of votive holder you will buy.
If you just have a small place to fill you may want to go with a simple glass votive holder, but if you are planning to put your candle on a mantle or coffee table as a display item, you may want to go with something a little bigger or elaborate like a wrought iron holder that holds multiple candles. On the other hand if you are wanting something to hang on the wall a brass or wood sconce for a votive candle might be the perfect thing.
